Penny Piyawan Kovach grew up in bangkok, thailand. she took her awakened interest in art through her high school years in california and majored in art at northwestern state university in nachitoches, louisiana. her earlier ink and watercolor impressions of the Middle east were exhibited in morocco and bahrain where the national heritage museum purchased several works for their permanent collection. Penny has in addition sold her works privately in washington, dc., islamabad, pakistan, casablanca and rabat, morocco and bahrain. more recently, Penny has turned to abstract acrylics and has shown her paintings at thai crossing in bethesda and "artomatic" in washington, D.c. she was also a featured artist at the royal thai embassy for thai talent show in washington, d.c.
